Community Kitchen Job Training
New cohorts begin quarterly (January, April, July, October)
The Community Kitchen program provides culinary job training to adults facing barriers to employment while preparing nutritious meals for our meal distribution programs.
Training Components
- 12-week culinary skills training program
- Food safety certification (ServSafe)
- Kitchen management and inventory skills
- Resume writing and interview preparation
- Job placement assistance with restaurant and catering partners
Dual Impact
Participants gain valuable job skills while producing over 500 meals per day for our community meal programs. Last year, 85% of graduates were placed in food service employment within 90 days of completing the program.
